VU Studio Privacy Policy

Your music stays yours.

VU Studio does not collect, track, sell, or transmit personal data to us. Your projects, recordings, samples, exports, and settings are stored on your device unless you choose to export or transfer them.

Data collection

VU Studio is designed as a local music creation tool. The app does not collect personal data and does not send personal data to VU Studio, VU Beatz, or our servers.

  • No account is required to use the app.
  • No advertising or marketing identifiers are collected.
  • No analytics profile is created from your usage.
  • No precise location, contacts, photos library metadata, or browsing history is collected.
  • No personal data is sold or shared with data brokers.

Projects and files

VU Studio may create or access music-related content only as part of the creative workflow you start in the app. This can include projects, samples, recordings, rendered audio, imported files, exported files, MIDI content, and app settings.

This content is stored on your device or in locations you choose through system file pickers, export actions, sharing actions, or local project transfer. We do not receive a copy of your creative files.

Device permissions

Depending on the features you use, VU Studio may request permission to access local device capabilities such as the microphone, audio input, files, or local network access. These permissions are used only to provide the feature you requested.

  • Microphone or audio input access is used for recording audio into your project.
  • File access is used for importing, saving, opening, or exporting music content.
  • Local network access is used only for local transfer workflows between your own devices when you start that workflow.

Network features

VU Studio does not use network access for tracking or analytics. If you use a local transfer feature, the transfer happens only between devices you choose on your local network. Your files are not uploaded to us as part of that workflow.

Purchases and App Store receipts are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy and payment terms. VU Studio does not receive your full payment card details.

Children's privacy

Because VU Studio does not collect personal data, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If VU Studio changes in a way that affects privacy, this policy will be updated. The date at the top of this page shows the latest published version.
